At the Myer Spring Fashion Lunch at Flemington yesterday 650 well heeled guests in elegant racewear welcomed spring racing in style. Channel 7’s Rebecca Maddern and Jason Richardson, hosted the Myer spring racewear parade showcasing the latest spring racing trends. Rachael Finch walked the spring fashion lunch catwalk for the first time and was on hand to provide ladies with style advice ahead of the season’s first feature raceday at Flemington, Sofitel Girls’ Day Out, on Saturday.

The parade featured designs by Maticevski, Alex Perry, Yeojin Bae, Arthur Galan AG, White Suede, by johnny, Asilio, Cue, Marcs, Perri Cutten, Review, Karen Millen, David Lawrence, Dom Bagnato and M.J. Bale highlighting the season’s trends: in full bloom, new romantics, monochrome moment and jet set. Milliners featured included Viktoria Novak, Kerry Stanley, Kim Fletcher, Fiona Powell, Natalie Bikicki, Ann Shoebridge, Richard Nylon and Lisa Tan.

To celebrate 50 years since Jean Shrimpton made headlines at Flemington her friend and former top model Maggie Eckardt delighted the crowd with her recollections of the day.  A replica of the dress that shocked a nation was also on show.
