Cup Day is usually all about colour. Some celebs were bursting with eye-popping candy luminosity but some kept it chic with moody layered dark hues highlighted by ravishing textures and geo shapes.
We were green with envy over Megan Gale’s emerald Dolce and Gabbana lace mini dress.
Rebecca Judd was sassy and iridescent in an orange Alex Perry frock and Hatmaker headpiece.
Kate Peck wore a purple Aurelio Costarella frock (the digital print was a little last year) and a Viktorianoval headpiece.
Emma Freedman donned a racy, red Farage suit with headpiece by Jonathan Howard. One of my favorites for the day.
Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador Georgia Connolly blazed with a candy toned Alex Perry mini dress and a Natalie Bikicki boater.

Navy, black and white were the dyes of the day. Kate Waterhouse led the plainer posse with a black and white Altuzarra frock laiden by an eye-catching textured finish and a light as the wind Sarah & Sebastian turban.
Lady Kitty Spencer, niece of the late Princess Diana, descended in an all white mesh on mesh Alex Perry frock and headpiece by Stephen Jones Millinery.
Francesca Barham Packer, James Packer’s niece, also elegantly molded texture on texture in a white lace gown and a wide-brimmed netted hat.
To top off the trend, personal assistant, Emily Hunter, from Richmond was named the daily winner of the Fashions on The Field in a navy gown made by her mum. She found a photo on pinterest and her mum got on the old Singer. Her yellow and navy lace and leather floral headpiece was by Lisa Schaefer.
Clean cut celeb couples at the Cup attracted a lot of attention, with The Bachelorette’s Sam Frost and Sasha Mielczarek debuting their perfect coupledom.
Jodi Anasta, Alex Perry and Lauren Phillips mixed and mingled over spring fruit tartlets, healthy kale salads and cleansing nectar and ginger cocktails.
